I went to the market in Nadi town after I came back from a small island where I did a beach clean up and was living in a tent and run out of food.

I was happy that I could buy lots of fruits again, I really missed the market.
In the evening I had a call with a boat owner who was looking for a person to teach his girlfriend basic-english.

They told me that they only eat organic and mostly vegetarian food. They are from Brasil and the owners girlfriend doesn’t speak any english.

Also, I get my food and bed on board and can join them for surf and snorkel trips around the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji. He said that I can come anytime so I packed my stuff and made my way there the next day. Continue reading

farmstay in a HIPPIE-COMMUNITY – a paradise (more or less)

in the end of july, frank, my new workaway-host, picked me up from the farm where i stayed in bangalow. we drove around 10 minutes until we reached the new place in coorabell, called paradise one. it literally looks like a paradise!

the driveway alone is 3 km long and it’s just so peaceful and beautiful here. i got my own room with a queensize-bed, a hammock on the balcony, a huge mirror, a own bathroom for myself. i couldn’t believe how fancy the room is!
i was so happy that i had a room to myself because i normally had to share one or i just slept in the

i think i am in heaven – my time in the YASAWAS

i flew back to the yasawas after one week break, where i went to the coral coast on the main island in fiji.
i arrived at the airport with another guy who also worked as a gametester and a pick-up picked us up from the airstrip in the yasawas.

we saw a lot of ripe bananas next to the road on the way to the village and we stopped to get them.
i was soo happy about them because normally we never saw bananas on the way to our place there.
we arrived back in the village around lunchtime and everyone was there. i felt so happy to be back because it feels like
home there.

snorkelling with sharks in fiji – coral coast

after 50 day of working in the yasawas we went back to nadi. i really love the plane ride, you see all the small islands with the beautiful reef around. it’s only 30 minutes by plane.

john, a friend from fiji, gave me and a friend a ride up to the coral coast. it took us 2 hours until we arrived at the
beachhouse – a fancy place for backpackers. it’s not really like a hostel – more like a resort.
you can do a lot of activities there.

i went paddle boarding in the mornings, did yoga in the evenings, went kayaking & once i tried surfing.
