After I stayed in the north of Thailand for 10 days I was looking for a workaway job. I found a Dhamma meditation centre which was looking for an assistant to help them with their daily duties & who can help them with teaching english and mindfulness to kids in the school. I thought that sounds really interesting so I applied and I immediately got a response that I can come.
we catched the bus from KR nagar where we did a workaway-job to the next city called mysore. our train was leaving mysore in the evening so we had a view hours to kill.
there is a huge palace in the middle of the centre so we decided to have a walk around there. at the entrance there was a sign that we had to pay to get into the temple.
kai and i are both not the biggest fans of tourist attractions where you have to pay. the man at the counter told us that we can go in for free because he saw us discussing before. the palace is huge and very pretty.
isabelle, the girl who stayed at the farm in mackay as well, drove up from mackay to airlie beach on saturday the 2nd of september.
it was the day were i met john, my new workaway-host. he lives in australia on the gold coast but he doesn’t like it there so he sails around since a long long time.
it was perfect for me because i didn’t have to hitchhike or arrange a bus-ticket. it was only a 1,5 hours drive to airlie beach and we arrived around lunchtime. Continue reading
after 50 day of working in the yasawas we went back to nadi. i really love the plane ride, you see all the small islands with the beautiful reef around. it’s only 30 minutes by plane.
john, a friend from fiji, gave me and a friend a ride up to the coral coast. it took us 2 hours until we arrived at the
beachhouse – a fancy place for backpackers. it’s not really like a hostel – more like a resort.
you can do a lot of activities there.
i went paddle boarding in the mornings, did yoga in the evenings, went kayaking & once i tried surfing.
after the wwoofing-host wrote me a mail that i can’t come anymore i had to make a new plan!
i had a look at the backpacker new zealand facebook-groups and i found two other girls who wanted to go to abel tasman. laura, a girl from germany came over and stayed at the couchsurfing place as well and the day after in the morning we made our way to marahau beach.
i booked two tickets for the freedom kayaking in abel tasman the day before.. we picked up another girl from the netherlands on the way so we could do the kayaking tour together. Continue reading
