I left Vanuatu after 2,5 months living on a sailboat there and jumped on a new boat, called Irie II. The owner is from Texas and it was so nice of him to give me a ride to Noumea.
He normally sails around the world single-handed since many years and I was the first crew he ever had for a passage. I bought lots of fruit and veggies to last us for the 2-3 day crossing but the wind was so weak and it took us longer than that.
Unfortunately we had all to leave Dravuni Island after 3 weeks because the job got cancelled and we all were very sad to leave the island already.
I didn’t make further plans for Fiji so I didn’t know what I want to do now. We all went back by ferry to Suva because the weather was too bad to take the speedboat.
It took us 5 hours and we all had an own small bed to ourselves. We bought lots of fruits and veggies in the market in Suva before we made our way to my friends place up in Nausori.
I was happy that I could stay there while figuring out a new plan what to do next. Continue reading
An Indian guy who wrote me on the couch-surfing app came to cambodia for a short holiday. He told me that he can help me with making a great video as he loves doing that and so we met in Kep on my last day in the eco-lodge. We rented a scooter from there and drove another 25 km to the next city Kampot. It’s a small and chill city with a river and a national park around.
He booked a super nice place for us next to the river and outside of town. We stayed in a treehouse and I could sleep in a hammock.
I was so happy!
On the 6th of February it was again time to say goodbye to my family and friends. I spent 1,5 months in Austria and it was so good to see everyone again. I spent as much time as I could with my family.
This time, I booked a flight from Munich to Bangkok with Ukraine airlines. I never used that airline before and now I know why. Continue reading
i grew up with the attitude that you have to work hard for your money and nothing in life is for free.
i don’t exactly know where my intention to travel the world came from but i guess i was just curious if life is really about buying stuff we don’t need, with money we don’t have to impress people we don’t even like!
kai and i decided to go to prague for a couple of days because we both wanted to go there since a long time. i found really cheap bus tickets with the flixbus for 15 euros one way. it only took 4 hours by bus to reach there. Continue reading
we catched the bus from KR nagar where we did a workaway-job to the next city called mysore. our train was leaving mysore in the evening so we had a view hours to kill.
there is a huge palace in the middle of the centre so we decided to have a walk around there. at the entrance there was a sign that we had to pay to get into the temple.
kai and i are both not the biggest fans of tourist attractions where you have to pay. the man at the counter told us that we can go in for free because he saw us discussing before. the palace is huge and very pretty.
