after a couple of surfdays we took the localbus to a place called dondra, which is on the southcoast and not far away from matara. i found a workaway job for us where a local guy who bought an old house two years ago and wants to rennovate it to build a hostel which has a great location because it very close to the beach. we left the animal-shelter after four days and took a tuk-tuk to kandy because the owner there told us that there is no train going from her place which was in peradeniya.
we went to the counter and wanted to buy the tickets to a place called ella which is in the mountains but the men told me that there is no train from kandy today and we have to go to peradeniya. Continue reading
after we brought my mum and sister to the airport we made our way to a new workaway place in peradeniya.
the owner of the hotel where we stayed the night drove us to the bus-station in town to catch the bus to the new place. after four hours of driving
through beautiful landscapes we finally arrived in peradeniya. i asked a tuk-tuk driver to call the number of the german lady who we were going to work for where he should bring us. it was another 15 minutes tuk tuk ride into the middle of nowhere. she lives up on a steep hill so we had to get out and push the tuk-tuk. it was very exhausting to go up that hill but we arrived shortly after our “hike”.
kai and i flew from the gold coast in australia to sri lanka on the 19.09.2017. we had an 8 hour flight to malaysia and from there it was another three hours flight
to colombo, sri lanka. when we arrived at the airport in colombo we waited in a line to get the visa stamp in our passport. the guy behind the counter didn’t even look at us, i never got a visa stamp so easy before. Continue reading
